Quentin Thomas Carino Clark
I’m Quentin, currently a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Toronto. I’m part of the Robot Vision and Learning (RVL) group advised by Florian Shkurti. I am primarily interested in learned sequential decision-making, especially Reinforcement Learning. Some of the things I have been thinking about recently are
- How can agents learn useful, transferable skills from unstructured data?
- Can we enable agents to learn both planning and control without explicit hierarchy?
- How can robotic agents learn high-level planning without simply scaling up data?
Before this, I received a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Boston University. On the philosophy side, I enjoy thinking about Buddhist philosophy and existential risk problems.
